Job Description
Corporate Audit Services Senior Auditor is primarily responsible for completing audit engagement assignments with the main task conducting control testing. The Senior Auditor is expected to understand risk and risk management techniques, identify, and analyse business processes, key risks, and critical controls, and evaluate control design adequacy; perform or supervise control testing; and document work performed in conformance with internal audit policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Assisting the audit team management in planning audit engagements. Includes understanding risk and risk management techniques; identifying and analysing business processes, key risks, and critical controls; conducting walkthroughts; and evaluating control design adequacy.
Perform testing of controls based on audit program directions. Includes using appropriate sampling and control testing techniques; identifying and assessing the relevancy of possible issues; and documenting work performed to support audit scope/conclusions, to facilitate an efficient review, and to meet internal audit policies and procedures.
Drafting audit issues under the supervision of the audit team management. Includes drafting potential exposures and significance, identifying appropriate root causes, and developing recommendations that are operationally effective and cost‑effective actions to address those causes.
Assisting audit team management during the reporting and wrap‑up phases, including drafting audit reports.
Learning from and applying coaching received.
Performing other duties as requested by audit team management.
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically more than five years of applicable experience in a credit institution
Relevant internal audit experience in the financial service industry of areas including Prudential and Conduct of Business, Operational Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Treasury, Payments (Merchant Acquiring, Corporate Payment Systems)
Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft
Thorough understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and the common definition of internal controls
ACA, ACCA, CIA or other relevant professional designation or advanced degree
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Additional Information
The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in‑office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days
