Career Vision Recruiters are seeking a part-time Human Resources Executive to join the team of a 4-star hotel in Limerick. This role is 24 hours per week and will involve supporting and managing the day-to-day HR operations within the property. The HR Executive will work closely with the General Manager and the Group Human Resources Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily administrative functions of the Human Resources department.
* Foster a positive culture of employee engagement through clear communication, effective people management, and initiatives that enhance the overall working environment.
* Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries.
* Provide guidance and support to Heads of Department across all areas of team management, including recruitment, training, performance management, employee development, and engagement.
* Coordinate and manage the full recruitment cyclefrom advertising and shortlisting to selection and onboarding.
* Ensure all new team members receive the required documentation, training, and support prior to starting, delivering a smooth and professional onboarding experience.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, working towards a fully paperless HR system.
* Ensure the hotel remains compliant with statutory training requirements and organise refresher training as needed.
* Arrange and coordinate internal and external training sessions.
* Support Heads of Department in managing disciplinary processes, ensuring adherence to fair procedures and required timelines, and liaise with the Group HR Manager when necessary.
* Oversee the management of employee grievances in line with company procedures, seeking guidance from the Group HR Manager where appropriate.
* Prepare and submit the weekly payroll information every Monday.
* Drive and implement group-wide HR initiatives and projects within the hotel.
* Maintain strong, open, and proactive communication with department managers and the wider leadership team.
* Monitor and address absenteeism throughout the hotel.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Holds or is currently pursuing a qualification in Human Resources Management.
* A minimum of 3 years experience working in an HR role or HR department.
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High emotional intelligence with strong leadership and conflict-management abilities.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
