Design & build your future with Ward & Burke! Join our Business Systems team to help roll out modern technology, improve processes, and support AI initiatives across the company.
Due to continued growth, Ward & Burke are hiring a graduate to join our Business Systems team. This is an excellent entry‑level role for someone who wants to learn how technology supports the full business, while helping deliver new digital tools and AI‑enabled ways of working.
You will work alongside experienced analysts and technical specialists, gaining hands‑on experience with business applications, data, automation, and end‑user support in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Job Description
Contribute to AI initiatives with a technical focus: support pilots (e.g., Copilot‑style tools, chatbots, RAG prototypes), prepare/clean source data, assist with evaluation/testing, and help implement controls for privacy, security, and responsible use.
Support technical delivery of new solutions: environment setup (dev/test/prod where applicable), configuration, release coordination, cutover planning, post‑go‑live support, and root‑cause investigation.
Work with data and reporting: write/maintain SQL queries, help model data for analytics, validate data integrity, and support ETL/refresh processes for dashboards and reports.
Build and maintain automations and integrations under guidance: scripting (e.g., PowerShell/Python), low‑code workflows, API‑based connections, and scheduled jobs—implementing error handling, logging, and documentation.
Translate business needs into technical requirements/user stories, communicate progress and technical constraints clearly, and help coordinate small technical work items through to completion.
