Strategy Document Writer Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client in Dublin, are currently recruiting for the position of Strategy Document Writer.
This role is initially 2-3 months.
*This position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this role* Role Purpose The Strategy Document Writer will be responsible for researching, drafting, and supporting the development of high-quality strategic documents for a public sector organisation.
The role will contribute to organisational planning and long-term strategic initiatives, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with public sector governance requirements.
The primary outputs of this role will be the development of a Fleet Strategy and an Estates Strategy, supporting informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities Research, draft, and develop organisational strategy documents, with a specific focus on a Fleet Strategy and an Estates Strategy.
Translate complex operational, technical, and policy information into clear, well-structured strategic content.
Engage with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather inputs and validate strategic direction.
Ensure strategies align with relevant government policy, legislation, and public sector standards.
Edit, refine, and quality-assure draft strategy documents.
Manage document reviews, approvals, and version control processes.
Support the preparation of briefings and presentations related to strategic outputs.
Essential Requirements Demonstrated experience in strategy or policy document writing.
Experience working in the public and/or private sector.
Excellent written communication, drafting, and editorial skills.
Proven ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
Strong analytical skills and experience engaging with stakeholders.
Desirable Requirements Experience working within the Irish public sector.
Knowledge of public sector governance and strategic planning processes.
Experience supporting organisational change or reform programmes.
Presentation of Work Candidates may be required to present examples of previous work demonstrating experience in drafting strategy or policy documents of a similar nature, particularly those related to assets, infrastructure, fleet, or estates planning.
The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver final strategy documents that are professionally structured and visually well-presented.
Outputs should be produced to a high commercial standard, incorporating clear formatting, visual elements (such as charts, diagrams, or infographics where appropriate), and a layout suitable for presentation to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Confidentiality and Vetting Due to the nature of the organisation and the information involved, the successful candidate may be required to undergo appropriate vetting procedures and will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to commencing work.
