Data is central to ESB's Strategy for Net Zero.
The successful candidate will operate as a core member of the Analytics team in ESB Customer Solutions and work closely with our customer-facing business units to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
They will gain a deep understanding of customer data across all business units and be able to analyze, identify, and create solutions using this data.
The role also requires building data solutions using technologies like SQL, Power BI, Python, R, and Azure.
We are seeking candidates for:
One permanent position based in Swift Square, SantryOne permanent position based in East Gate Business Park, CorkOne 12-month FTC position based at ESB's Head Office, Fitzwilliam 27Key Responsibilities Data analysis and developing reporting capabilities in collaboration with the business operations team.Stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.Creating meaningful visualizations and working with stakeholders to determine analytical requirements and design solutions such as:Trend analysisPredictive analyticsInsights from large datasetsCollaborating with stakeholders across Telecoms, Trading, SES, and Data Quality Projects.
Implementing data governance and quality controls.Developing and implementing AI use cases across multiple business areas.Supporting self-serve reporting by identifying data sources and coaching users.Working in an agile environment as part of a team with diverse stakeholders.Experience & Qualifications The candidate should have proven experience in data analysis and a good understanding of analytics tools, databases, and their capabilities.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.Experience designing and developing Power BI visualizations.Experience with machine learning using Python/R.Proficiency in SQL, including writing stored procedures and functions.Experience managing large, complex datasets.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.A third-level qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Maths, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience.Experience with data science algorithms and methods.Experience with SAP BO, BW, or HANA.Knowledge of R, SPSS, Python, PowerShell.Familiarity with Azure DevOps.Postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Data Analytics, Maths, or Computer Science is preferred.Location Positions are based across three locations:
SantryEast Gate Business Park, CorkFitzwilliam 27, Head Office (12-month FTC)ESB supports flexible working arrangements, including hybrid models.
Candidates may work remotely with in-person attendance at least one day per week, subject to approval and operational needs. Reporting to The successful candidate will report to the Customer Solutions Analytics Manager.
