Data is central to ESB’s Strategy for Net Zero. The successful candidate will operate as a core member of the Analytics team in ESB Customer Solutions and work closely with our customer-facing business units to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. They will gain deep knowledge of customer data across all business units and analyze, identify, and create solutions using this data.
The role also requires building data solutions using technologies like SQL, Power BI, Python, R, and Azure.
This is a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Data analysis, working with the business operations team to develop reporting capabilities.
* Stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
* Creating meaningful visualizations and working with stakeholders to determine analytical requirements and design solutions, such as trend analysis, predictive analytics, and insights into large datasets.
* Collaborating with stakeholders across Telecoms, Trading, SES, and Data Quality Projects; implementing data governance and quality controls.
* Developing and implementing AI use cases across multiple business areas.
* Supporting self-serve reporting by identifying data sources and coaching users.
* Working in an agile environment as part of a team with diverse stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
The candidate should have a proven track record in data-driven problem solving, with good knowledge of analytics tools, databases, and their capabilities.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Experience in designing and developing Power BI visualizations.
* Experience with machine learning using Python/R.
* Proficiency in SQL, including writing stored procedures and functions.
* Experience managing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets.
* Stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
* A third-level qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Maths, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.
* Experience with data science algorithms and methods.
* Experience with SAP BO/BW/4Hana.
* Experience using R, SPSS, Python, PowerShell.
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
* Postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Data Analytics, Maths, or Computer Science is desirable.
Location
This position is based in Swift Square, Santry.
ESB supports flexible working arrangements, including digital tools and trust-based culture. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with at least one in-person day per week, subject to managerial approval and operational needs.
Reporting to
The successful candidate will report to the Customer Solutions Analytics Manager.

Salary: €48,000 - €56,500 per annum, depending on experience.
