Job Description
Beechfield Care Group are currently seeking to recruit Healthcare Assistants (Senior Position) to assume responsibility for the care of residents and mentorship of Healthcare Assistant colleagues at the following locations.
Pay & Benefits
Pay rate: €30,000.00 per annum. Additional: 10% premium Saturday, 20% premium Sunday, Overtime premium payments. Contract type: Permanent. Working hours: Full‑time, 39 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities
* Lead, train and mentor new Healthcare Assistants.
* Work closely with nurse managers and staff nurses to maintain the highest standards of care.
* Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents.
* Perform safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home.
* Deliver food to residents and feed them.
* Return used trays and dishes to the kitchen, keeping residents and their rooms neat and tidy.
* Make beds and change linen.
* Provide incontinence and toilet care to residents, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags.
* Assist trained nurses with provision of psychological and social support as needed.
* Maintain continuous vigilance towards dignity, comfort, safety and whereabouts of residents.
* Adhere continuously to hygiene, health and safety regulations.
* Perform any other duties as required.
Role Requirements
* Relevant Healthcare Degree or Qualification: Nursing, Allied Health, Medicine.
* Mentoring, training, supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
* QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare.
* Minimum 2 years of care experience.
* Track record as a high‑performing healthcare assistant.
* Excellent communication and personal care skills.
* Knowledge of healthcare standards, including HIQA and infection prevention.
