The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels and a proud member ofThe Leading Hotels of the World, is now recruiting for aPublic Areas Attendantto join our dedicated Accommodation Services team.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a professional, welcoming team where high standards, teamwork, and guest service are at the heart of everything we do.As aPublic Areas Attendant, you will:Deliver a warm, professional, and helpful service to guests at all times.Anticipate guest needs and respond with a caring, prompt attitude to enhance satisfaction.Maintain all public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety.Monitor maintenance issues in public areas and report them as per hotel policy.Handle lost property according to departmental procedures.Ensure correct and safe use of equipment, chemicals, and materials, always keeping storage areas tidy and well-organised.Uphold all health, safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.Promote the hotel's services and actively support upselling opportunities.We are looking for someone who:Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining 5* standards.Communicates courteously and effectively with colleagues and guests.Is flexible, reliable, and works well both independently and as part of a team.Understands the importance of guest care and providing anticipative, discreet service.Can follow procedures and adapt to the changing needs of the hotel.Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel environment is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.This is a full-time role (39 hours per week) with shift work, including weekends and public holidays, on a rota basis.At The Merrion, we believe our success depends on the commitment of every member of our team.
