About the Role:
* We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join our team, supporting hospitals and nursing homes in Westmeath. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working in a hospital or high-volume commercial catering setting.
The successful applicant will be responsible for setting up catering units/wards for daily service, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and teas, as well as day-to-day cleaning of catering units and kitchens. They will also take patients' orders and upload them into the system, serving food at ward level.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Setting up catering units/wards for daily service, including prepping food and recording temperatures.
2. Serving meals at ward level, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
3. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, adhering to HACCP procedures.
4. Taking patient orders and uploading them into the system for efficient meal management.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* At least three years of experience working in a hospital or nursing home catering setting or high-volume commercial background.
* Excellent English written and verbal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
* Ability to adapt to new environments, prioritizing flexibility and teamwork.
* Two working references provided, with minimum two years each.
* Valid work permits to work full-time in Ireland without restrictions.
