Job Description
As a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of environmental and health & safety systems across a range of busy and technically complex facilities.
You will support operations across manufacturing, warehousing, and office environments, helping to uphold and advance a culture of safety, compliance, and sustainability.
In this role, you will:
1. Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant legislative frameworks
2. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective control measures
3. Provide day-to-day HSE support to teams across multiple locations, ensuring site and operational compliance with internal and external standards
4. Lead and manage incident investigations, reporting findings and driving preventive actions
5. Promote behavioural safety and contribute to continuous improvement across all areas of the business
6. Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and inductions to employees and contractors
7. Monitor and analyze HSE data, producing regular reports and identifying trends
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in an HSE role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc.)
* Working knowledge of current HSE legislation and compliance frameworks
* Experience implementing and managing health & safety systems and practices across multiple sites
* Experience in carrying out investigations, audits, and reporting
* A full clean UK driving licence with flexibility to travel between sites as required
