DescriptionThe Sales Area Manager (SAM) is a proactive individual contributor with a focus on boosting revenue growth and nurturing customer success throughout Ireland. This position involves thoughtful planning, effective implementation, and working closely with NI resources, distributors, and solution & integration partners. The SAM will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive growth plan, using both direct and indirect sales channels to expand NI's market presence. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Territory Management & Sales Execution Develop and implement growth plans, such as pipeline, account planning, and forecastingIdentify and drive new business opportunitiesLead demand generation with marketing and deliver technical sales presentationsManage short- and medium-term sales cycles and operate demo hardware as needed 2. Customer & Partner Relationship Management Build strong relationships with technical and executive stakeholdersAlign NI solutions with customer needs and ensure success throughout the lifecycleCollaborate with solution, integration partners, distributors, and resellers 3. Channel & Ecosystem Engagement Work with NI's channel team to expand the partner ecosystemPropose new partnerships and support effective route-to-market strategiesFoster local LabVIEW and NI user communities 4. Market Development and Planning Plan and carry out customer-facing events (webinars, seminars, user groups)Align with internal teams on critical initiatives and monitor industry trendsDevelop localized marketing plans and leverage government funding opportunities 5. CRM & Forecasting Maintain accurate Salesforce records and provide reliable forecastsTrack sales activities and ensure pipeline health and data integrity
Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:5+ years experience in technical sales, field, or application engineeringEngineering degree or equivalent technical backgroundTest & Measurement experience, ideally with NI platformStrong communication and interpersonal abilities for technical and executive engagementAbility to align technical solutions with customer objectivesEntrepreneurial, proactive, and forward-thinkingProficient in English.Willingness to travel extensively within the sales area of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.Based in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and 5G.Experience in the life sciences and medical field.Experience in community engagement through conferences, blogs, or user groups.Knowledge of government or public sector funding programs.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Understanding of SaaS or subscription-based business models.
