Role Overview
The Health Clerical Worker will provide administrative and clerical support within a healthcare setting, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and professional communication with all stakeholders. This entry-level role offers valuable experience for those beginning a career in healthcare administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general clerical and administrative support to the health team.
* Maintain accurate databases and records in line with GDPR and confidentiality standards.
* Manage telephone calls, emails, and other communications, ensuring courteous and professional interactions with all stakeholders.
* Schedule appointments, clinics, and meetings as required.
* Support the preparation of reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
* Undertake other administrative duties as directed by the line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic IT systems.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and follow supervision.
* High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
Desirable:
* 2 years clerical or administrative experience.
* Familiarity with healthcare IT systems is a bonus.
