Systems Engineer – DSP / Embedded Software / Algorithms
We are currently partnered with a leading technology organisation developing next‑generation sensor solutions across consumer electronics, automotive, and IoT devices. As part of a global engineering team, they are looking to hire a Sensor Systems Engineer to drive algorithm development and system design for advanced sensor‑based technologies.
This role is full time on‑site in Cork
Key responsibilities
Develop and validate sensor algorithms using high‑level languages such as MATLAB and Python
Design and optimise algorithms balancing performance, power consumption, memory, and computational complexity
Implement embedded software in C/C++ for fixed‑point and floating‑point systems
Collaborate with global systems, software, and integration/test teams across the full product lifecycle
Key requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in systems engineering, sensor systems, or a related domain
Strong understanding of digital signal processing concepts (e.g., filter design, LTI systems)
Experience with MATLAB and/or Python for algorithm development and validation
Solid embedded programming skills in C/C++
