The ideal candidate will be passionate about horticulture and have a strong desire to progress in their career.
As a dynamic garden centre manager, you will support the branch manager in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the garden centre and across the wider site.
Key responsibilities include leading by example a safety-first culture, driving the safety agenda on site, delivering excellent customer experience, optimising sales, and continuously improving the store.
You will also assist in management duties, including keyholder responsibilities, proactively support the branch manager to deliver on agreed objectives, and lead a motivated sales team.
In addition, you will manage weekly deliveries, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and assist in business administration as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* A relevant horticulturist qualification is essential for this role, preferably including people management experience.
* A proven track record in retailing with strong product knowledge is a prerequisite for this role.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational, planning and time management skills, and ability to demonstrate initiative are also required.
