Aughinish Alumina, situated in Askeaton on a 1,300-acre site on the Shannon Estuary, is one of the leading industrial plants in Ireland.
It is the largest Alumina Refinery in Europe, producing approximately 2 million tonnes per annum of product that is the primary raw material for the production of aluminium.
The company also has a 150MW Combined Heat and Power Plant.

We are looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our Materials Department.
The ideal candidate would be highly numerate with a good level of PC skills and have a proven ability to drive a forklift/reach truck.
The candidate should also have excellent communication, team-working and customer service skills and have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Main Duties: Operate and drive fork lift and reach truck.
Issue all materials requirements in accordance with Purchasing and Stores procedures.
Receipt materials in accordance with Receiving Control procedures.
Record data regarding issues and receipts and returns on the computerised system.
Undertake stock counts.
Use hand held tablets/devices as necessary to record counting information.
Store the stocks in an orderly fashion on the stores shelving and racking by using safest practices for the stowage.
Drive motor vehicles to deliver materials within the plant in a timely fashion.
Collect materials and equipment from plant departments and personnel as required in accordance with Purchasing and Stores procedures.
Check for the whereabouts of project and non-inventory materials.
Conduct housekeeping duties within work areas of Stores and its facilities.
Provide good customer service to plant customers.
Qualification and Experience: Storesperson will need to have a minimum of Leaving Certificate.
Minimum 3 years stores experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
Experience of driving mobile equipment such as fork lift and reach truck.
Must be fully PC literate and have strong safety awareness.
A stores course would be advantageous.
