Job Description:
Care Support Specialists provide a safe, secure environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. They facilitate community and leisure activities, promote independence, and support personal growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a professional registration on the Social Care Workers Registrar or be eligible for registration. They should have a minimum of one year's experience working with people with intellectual disabilities. Fluency in verbal and written English and IT skills are essential.
Benefits:
Care Support Specialists work 78 hours a fortnight based on a 14-day duty roster. They enjoy annual leave, service-related leave after 5 and 10 years' service, and departmental salary scales from €38,951 to €53,970 per annum.
Working Arrangements:
Successful candidates will work day/night duty, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays. A probationary period of nine months applies, during which time employment may be terminated if the employer finds the appointee unsuitable to continue employment.
