Please note:

This is a Part Time Role -2.5 days on site per week. Days & Hours of work are flexible, however, candidate should ideally be available to work every Monday. This role reports directly to the Owner of the business and supports the Store Manager in his/her duties.

Main purpose of the role:

Maintain and enhance the store's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programmes and practices.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

* 2 years experience in a relevant position
* CIPD qualification is desirable
* Excellent communication skills & ability to have both motivating and difficult conversations
* Good delegation skills
* Highly driven with a strong work ethic
* Self Motivated and ability to work on own initiative
* An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
* Commerciality and brand awareness
* Passion for grocery retail
* Thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Main duties:

* Be the first point of contact for all people issues in the business
* Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
* Ensure optimum employment levels through appropriate recruitment and selection procedures
* Manage the probation process in store
* Manage absence, timekeeping and return to work process
* Develop appropriate personal training and development plans are in place for each employee
* Promote a harmonious working atmosphere in store through proactive employee communication and problem resolution
* Ensure the store is compliant with relevant legislation and implement procedures as required
* Ensure that all employees receive an induction and initial and on-going training
* Document and record all internal and external training
* Support the Store Manager in managing colleague issues and requests
* Meet with the Store Owner weekly with a structured review of the previous week
* Maintain employee attendance, holiday and leave records
* Complete the weekly roster in line with the weekly budgets
* When necessary, implement the Grievance and Disciplinary polices correctly
* Ensure that all customer service programmes and procedures are in place and provide appropriate training as required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From €20,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
