SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares Cost Estimates, Outline Specifications, and Value Engineering for construction projects.
Investigates design, code, agency, and owner requirements to properly define the scope of work.
Prepare qualification statements to clarify items that are unclear.
Qualifications : Experience as a Senior Estimator in one or more of the following markets: multi-family housing, commercial, and/or K–12 construction.
Experience: Experience in commercial projects Knowledge of current market pricing / unit pricing Ability to Lead, Create and Complete Entire Project Estimates Ability to research specified materials related to the project and find alternatives as required.
Ability to develop Value Engineering Ideas and associated costs.
Ability to develop preliminary preconstruction schedules.
Understanding of Project Staffing and General Condition Requirements Strong Owner and Architect Relationships Strong Subcontractor Relationships Ability to compete detailed On-Screen Takeoff Set up qualified Subcontractor Bid Lists and willing to call the subs and get them to bid.
Analyzing Bids and Scopes Preparation of presentation documents Ability to present cost information to a client in a professional manner.
Review / Analyze and Correct Other's estimates.
Salary: Dependent on experience.
