OverviewThe Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon keeps vital machinery running and ensures a safe, efficient operational environment. As an RME Technician, you will maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding Health and Safety best practices. You’ll perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation, respond to breakdowns, investigate and implement quick solutions, and suggest long-term improvements.Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and liaise with contractors for external expertise. You’ll work on a range of shifts to provide site support around the clock.About the teamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps equipment performing at its best. We are a technically minded, collaborative group guided by experienced leaders, working to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across Amazon’s global fulfilment network. Some team members oversee projects and work with exciting technology, including innovations unique to Amazon.From installing automated packaging systems to maintaining sites and repairing key distribution equipment, we cover many aspects of Amazon’s technical operations. We ensure buildings are legally compliant, safe, and highly efficient. There are opportunities for progression within the RME team and across Amazon. Our focus is on reducing downtime to deliver for customers, with occasional night shifts to minimize disruption.
