This role is based in Waterford and operates on a 4 cycle shift pattern. The responsibilities include:
- Implementing preventative maintenance programmes (CBM & Planned Maintenance)
- Monitoring and driving improvements in the effectiveness of all maintenance activities
- Developing training plans and setting goals for technicians
- Leading daily Tier 1.5 meetings and prioritizing resources to maximize lens output while maintaining quality and safety compliance
- Owning, monitoring, reporting on, and implementing improvements to increase equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Providing details of OEE detractors and collaborating with Engineering on improvement plans
- Participating in the recruitment of staff as required
- Working with Procurement and Logistics groups on the control of equipment spares
- Working with Engineering to develop a predictive maintenance system
- Completing Quality and Safety Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
- Ensuring all work is executed in line with health and safety and quality system requirements
- Overseeing the planning and execution of day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in engineering / maintenance roles in high-volume industries with significant automation
- 3+ years supervisory experience
- Extensive hands-on experience of preventive / reactive maintenance and technician supervision / interaction
- Knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical production preferred (cGMP / FDA regulated environment)
- Self-directed with excellent communication skills
- Demonstrates effective communication of technical issues and their corrective and preventive actions
- Sets the standard of a right first time approach to maintenance and repair activities.
