Senior IT Business Analysts - € per dayKey Department of Irish Government is looking to hire Senior Business Analysts on a contract basis for a 12 Month+ project due to commence in Mid-March. This is a great oppourtunity for Business analyst looking to develop or grown their experience on enterprise level projects withinn a prominent government/public sector organisation.Based in an easily accessible Dublin city centre location, the role is offered on a hybrid basis with successful candidates required on site on a 2 (And very occasionally 3) day per week basis.The Process Design team is seeking experienced Level 3 contractors with deep expertise in business process design, re‑engineering, and process automation to lead and deliver complex process transformation initiatives across a large public‑sector environment.Key Responsibilities of RoleLead end‑to‑end business analysis and process design work packages, ensuring structured planning, timely delivery, and high‑quality outputs.Conduct current‑state assessments, analysing workflows, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.Apply advanced analysis techniques including process mapping, gap analysis, root‑cause analysis, and SWOT assessments.Drive process re‑engineering, designing future‑state processes, integrating automation, defining KPIs, and aligning organisational structures to new ways of working.Ensure all future‑state designs comply with relevant Irish/EU legislation, regulations, and policy requirements.Develop implementation strategies, roadmaps, and change plans, managing dependencies and minimising operational disruption.Gather and document detailed business requirements through workshops and stakeholder engagement.Prepare business cases, including cost‑benefit analysis, ROI justification, and impact assessments.Design and deliver workflow and automation solutions, from prototypes to enterprise‑scale implementations.Establish performance metrics, monitoring frameworks, and continuous improvement plans.Produce training materials, user guides, pilot test reports, and comprehensive project documentation.Analyse business data to generate insights that support process optimisation.Present findings, recommendations, and redesigned processes to senior stakeholders.Lead knowledge transfer, capability building, and the development of process excellence frameworks within the organisation.Essential Candidate RequirementsThird level Degree in a Business Discipline, Computer Science/IT or other area relevant to the roleA minimum of 5 years experience working as a Business Analyst ojn large enterprise level projectsProfessional accreditation and extensive experience in Business Analysis and Business Process Design, ideally across both public and private sectors (Business Analyst Certification would be disctinctly advantageous)PMP, Prince 2 or other relevant Project Management certification/training (Relevant experience may suffice for candidates that already have BA accreditation)Proven ability to deliver major transformation programmes, including workflow automation and system integration.Demonstratable experience in requirements gatheringPrecise technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.Very good project management capabilites, from concept to implementation.Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and relationship‑building skills.Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, proactive, and solution‑focused.Thorough understanding of current technology trends, automation best practices, and both waterfall/agile delivery environments.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in diverse, cross‑functional teams.Ability to rapidly mobilise and lead business process activities in large‑scale, dynamic projects.A track record of delivering measurable improvements through process and service optimisation.Experience designing and delivering workflow/automation solutions, potentially leveraging nearshore delivery teams.Experience, or at very least a very strong understanding of the Irish civil and public sector environment and experience working within complex organisational structures.IMPORTANTAll applicants must have immediate availability to work in Ireland and/or the wider EU as our client cannot provide any kind of Visa or Work Permit sponsorship at present.To Apply:If you're a strategic thinker with a passion for the Life and Pensions industry and a drive to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
