Job Summary
* The role is part of a Digital and Transformation (D&T) Team.
* Responsible for administering, supporting, and implementing lab instrument software within Analytical Labs, primarily in Waterford and other EU locations.
* Work with server-based laboratory applications such as LMS, SDMS, and Empower.
* Collaborate with D&T, QA, Metrology, and Lab Operations to ensure systems meet global analytical needs while complying with regulatory standards (cGMP, 21 CFR part 11).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Administer and support lab equipment software to ensure operational systems.
* Work with server-based applications (LMS, SDMS, Empower) integrated with equipment.
* Support lab automation initiatives and compliance activities.
* Participate in rotating on-call support for 24/7 application support, coordinating with vendors as needed.
* Maintain systems in a compliant environment, controlling costs and risks.
* Communicate system needs with Lab Operations and Metrology teams.
* Write and execute IQs, OQs, PQs, and validation protocols.
* Manage documentation such as change controls, CAPAs, investigations, SOPs, and work instructions.
* Ensure new systems are properly integrated.
* Perform other tasks as assigned.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Laboratory Systems, or a Scientific Field.
Work Experience
* Minimum 3 years of IT support/operations experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
* At least 1 year working with Lab Systems.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Knowledge of analytical instrument software.
* Experience in cGMP-compliant labs, with Part 11 compliance and validation.
* Understanding of PC hardware, networking, and Windows OS.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Experience with Waters Nugenesis SDMS, Waters Empower, or similar systems is a plus.
* Ability to follow SOPs and support Lean Sigma initiatives.
* Compliance with safety and quality policies.
License and Certifications
* ITIL Foundations Certification, A+, COMP TIA certifications are a plus.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%, approximately 26 days per year.
Physical Requirements
Light exertion, up to 20 lbs/9 kg frequently.
