Job Description:
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the plant finance functions, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This involves managing the accounting, treasury management, and company secretarial aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain effective programmes to achieve departmental KPIs, including agreeing KPIs with senior management, implementing measurement systems, and monitoring performance.
2. Initiate and implement projects to improve financial processes, such as capital budgeting, cash flow projections, debtor collection, and WCM programme implementation.
3. Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless services for Finance and address any problems that may arise.
4. Communicate with subordinates through regular performance reviews, involve them in target setting, and exchange information freely.
5. Establish and report on department budgets monthly.
6. Maintain and update financial operating and training procedures/manuals regularly, ensuring adherence to quality assurance procedures and company policies.
7. Ensure company assets are properly maintained and used only for company business.
8. Ensure the integrity of accounts and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and board policy.
9. Provide analytical, interpretive, investigative, and advisory services on business impact.
10. Perform additional tasks as requested by senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualifications
* Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and SKU management
