OptumRx is looking for a curious and self-motivated individual as part of a hybrid analytics/contracts team tasked with bringing increased understanding and clarity to contract interpretation and the financial analytics that quantify potential impacts. The role will be responsible for interfacing with various stakeholders, understanding current processes and implementing change where applicable, and establishing relationships with internal teams. You should be able to collaborate closely with internal partners, work with contract language and data, and be adaptable and eager to learn.
Primary Responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal partners to ensure they receive and understand the terms of our contracts
* Identify non-preferred contract language and, where possible, advocate for changes
* Manage OptumRx Client contracts with attention to accurate/timely data, reporting, and tracking monthly performance and adherence metrics
* Understand complex contract language to assess financial, non-financial impact and legal implications of requested contract changes
* Rapidly develop new insights and iterate to drive business decisions
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Business, English, Finance, Legal)
* Proven experience in commercial, procurement or legal teams with a focus on contracts
* Intermediate proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in managed health care or pharmacy benefit management
* Project management skills
* Experience in contract analysis, contract management or review strategy development and contract redlining
* Ability to manage contractual obligations including contract compliance
Soft Skills
* Communication and collaboration skills
* Self-starter with attention to detail, able to make decisions and deliver on commitments
* Strategic thinker
