This is a newly created role, offering a mix of general accountancy work alongside hands on involvement in tax, working directly alongside the Tax Director. The role will provide strong mentoring and exposure across a wide range of tax matters, while also allowing the successful candidate to build and maintain a broad accounting skillset. The position is expected to evolve significantly over time, with the tax element of the role growing as the department continues to develop, offering excellent long term career development opportunities. Duties will include: Prepare and file accurate and timely Income Tax ReturnsHandle the preparation of CGT and CAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulationsComplete Corporation Tax returns with strong attention to detailAssist with VAT returns and support the smooth running of the tax departmentSupport general accountancy and client work as requiredResearch technical tax issues for directors and respond to ad hoc tax queries from audit, accounts staff, and clientsKnowledge, Skills, and Experience: ACCA, ACA qualified coupled with exposure to tax workCTA qualified or interested in working towardsProficiency with Tax Pro and ROSStrong knowledge of VAT legislation is an advantageExcellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationshipsAdditional Details: Full-time, office-based roleStandard working hours: 09:00AM to 17:30PMFlexibility available to support work life balanceWill consider a 4 day weekPension after 6 monthsGenuinely warm, friendly and supportive environmentFree onsite parking and accessible via Dart lineSalary 55K to 65K DOE
