Position
Multi-Task Attendant (Full-time and Part-time)
We are seeking motivated and committed Multi-Task Attendants to support the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred services in accordance with Horizons standards, national policy, and organisational values.
Key Duties
Attending to housekeeping, catering, laundry or general duties as assigned by the line manager.
Assist and support residents where applicable.
Respect residents and their families, showing dignity, courtesy and professionalism at all times.
Act as an advocate for residents when appropriate.
Assist in the provision of a quality service and work in line with national and locally devised policies and regulations.
Maintain the confidentiality of all information made available during the course of work.
Maintain a strict code of personal and general hygiene in the workplace.
Carry out assigned and delegated responsibilities involving indirect care and activities of daily living under supervision.
Prepare and serve food in line with national and local policies and standards.
Report any equipment faults and ensure all equipment is stored safely.
Undertake hygiene and environmental duties to required standards and maintain appropriate documentation.
Prepare and cook meals/snacks in line with residents' preferences.
Manage catering duties including distribution of meals and associated environmental and hygiene responsibilities.
Ensure work practice follows all hygiene and Health and Safety procedures, including HACCP guidelines.
Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care in line with individual support plans.
Ensure dignity, respect and inclusion for residents at all times.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess the following:
Personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
Fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties and in a state of health that indicates a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Good character.
Valid work permissions and eligibility to work in Ireland at the time of application.
Full clean driving licence is desirable.
Qualifications and Experience
Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
Possess a QQI Further Education and Training (FET) Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills, or a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support, or are currently employed as an Attendant / Multi-Task attendant and are willing to undertake a QQI/FET Level 5 programme in Health Service Skills or equivalent.
