At Cubic you will find an environment filled with energy and collaboration, where we set out every day to improve not just the world, but ourselves and each other.Cubic is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, who is committed to their work, and capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to join the Test System Team within the DevOps and Quality Assurance group.This team is responsible for providing test automation solutions, supporting Cubic engineering teams by building and maintaining test automation frameworks and tooling. The successful candidate is expected to bring an open, collaborative, and innovative approach to their work.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving best-in-class test automation principles within the engineering group as a Senior Subject Matter Expert.Working closely with Engineering Managers and architecture teams to implement best practices.Expanding and maintaining test automation frameworks for Cubic Telecom.Creating and maintaining automated test suites, including mocking frameworks, and integrating with proprietary testing platforms developed in-house.Investigating automation test failures thoroughly and troubleshooting outcomes.Coordinating implementation of tools and environments for test automation engineers, within the Technology Radar maintained by the Architecture Team.Integrating with and expanding Engineering Quality Dashboards to provide standardized test automation visibility and insights across the engineering group.Developing and implementing training plans to upskill other engineers in Automation.Mentoring and supporting other Test Automation Engineers.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, electronic engineering, or related field.Minimum 7 years’ experience in a test automation role.A self-starter with proven ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.Excellent communication skills to articulate thoughts, ideas, and design specifications clearly.Comfortable presenting to small groups and leadership.Experience in web application test automation.Proficiency with test automation tools such as RestSharp, RestAssured, SoapUI, Selenium WebDriver, LoadRunner, JMeter.Experience with programming/scripting languages including C#, C++, Python.Experience working in continuous testing environments with CI tools.Knowledge of functional and non-functional test automation.Strong understanding of testing phases and automation techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to mentor colleagues with less experience.Experience using AI in Test Automation.Experience with Test Management software like TestRail.Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.Telecoms/IP Networking experience.Experience testing IoT/M2M applications or systems.Experience with API and web application mocking tools.Experience with Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.).Experience configuring TLS/SSL on server infrastructure.Experience working in a lean engineering model using Kanban.Mobile device testing experience.ISTQB Certification preferred.Experience with Angular testing frameworks.Performance engineering experience.Experience with UI Automation frameworks.Strong industry experience with leading companies.The benefits include 25 days annual leave, health insurance, pension contributions, ESOP, bike-to-work scheme, social activities, office outings, Bits & Bobs days, and learning opportunities.Note: New hires are required to work onsite during the probation period.
