Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our Finance & Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) practice. This is not a traditional accounting role – it's a strategic position for individuals who thrive on transformation, innovation, and leadership at scale.
As organisations evolve and expand across multiple jurisdictions, their finance and accounting functions face unprecedented complexity. We are looking for strategic thinkers and change leaders who can design and deliver operating models that meet these challenges head-on.
What You'll Do
* Lead Transformation: Drive end-to-end programmes that transition finance operations for global clients, ensuring seamless delivery and measurable impact.
* Shape Strategy: Design innovative operating models that optimise efficiency, scalability, and compliance for multinational organisations.
* Own Commercial Outcomes: Take full accountability for P&L, commercials, and financial performance of large-scale outsourcing engagements.
* Influence at the Highest Level: Work closely with Partners, senior executives, and global programme teams within Grant Thornton and client organisations.
* Drive Growth: Lead sales cycles, develop proposals, and build trusted relationships with CFOs and senior finance leaders in listed and multinational companies.
* Deliver Excellence: Oversee complex programme governance, manage risk, and ensure successful execution across multiple jurisdictions.
What We're Looking For
* Transformation Expertise: Proven experience in leading large-scale finance transformation or outsourcing programmes.
* Strategic Mindset: Ability to design and implement operating models for global organisations.
* Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of pricing, profitability, and contract management.
* Leadership: Exceptional people and project management skills; ability to inspire and mentor teams.
* Global Perspective: Experience working across EMEA, APAC, and Americas with multinational clients.
* Technical Foundation: Recognised accounting qualification and deep knowledge of IFRS, UK & Irish GAAP (other GAAPs a plus).
* Client-Centric: Passion for delivering outstanding client service and building long-term partnerships.
Desirable Skills
* Audit or FAAS background.
* Experience working in Transformation and/or Consulting.
