Product Builder Night Shift Position
This is a challenging opportunity to join our production team as a Product Builder for the night shift.
In this role, you will be working on the production floor, operating machines and performing various tasks such as polishing, cutting, straightening metal, finishing, and cleaning. You will also be responsible for accurately identifying cosmetic irregularities and exercising assigned responsibility for on-the-job training of less qualified personnel.
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints, and using precision measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers. Additionally, the ability to work in a team/cellular environment and perform visual inspection to detect cosmetic irregularities in metal is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Perform cell activities including polishing, cutting, straightening metal, finishing, cleaning.
* Operation of CNC equipment for the production of products.
* Accurately identifies cosmetic irregularities.
* Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training of less qualified personnel.
* Correctly performs all steps of cleaning operation.
* Performs all NDT Activities Perform final buff for parts requiring additional work after robots finish.
* Operation of Robotic equipment for the production of products.
* Change belts and wheel as necessary for a proper finish.
* Visual inspection of parts and paperwork.
* Maintains all equipment in the department as it is required.
* Communicates with other Team members and engineers concerning product defects.
* Performs all production POD activities as per training provided.
* Operates as part of a team to achieve productivity Targets.
Requirements:
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.
* Desirable skills 1+ experience polishing or buffing a variety of metals is desirable but not essential.
* Experience operating CNC is an advantage.
* Reading and interpreting blueprints.
* Working with precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
* Experience of visual inspection to detect cosmetic irregularities in metal.
* Inspection of paperwork; attention to detail.
* Working in team/cellular environment.
