a Leading Civil engineering company are actively seeking a Communications & Customer Services Manager to manage their internal & external communications.
Key Responsibilities
Communications
1. Develop and implement internal and external communications strategies and annual plans.
2. Create and deliver content for public, corporate, sustainability, and employee campaigns.
3. Manage stakeholder relationships including media, public, partners, and internal teams.
4. Support senior leadership profiling and manage agency/vendor relationships.
5. Monitor industry trends and continuously improve communication tools and processes.
6. Prepare project-specific communication plans, customer impact assessments, and stakeholder notifications.
7. Oversee outage notifications and liaise with critical stakeholders (e.g. schools, hospitals).
8. Attend regular site visits and client meetings to support ongoing projects.
Customer Service
9. Lead issue management, crisis communications, and complaints resolution.
10. Ensure compliance with customer service KPIs and contractual obligations.
11. Manage CRM and telephone systems, ensuring timely and professional customer interactions.
12. Liaise with client teams on complaints, claims, and service delivery.
13. Audit service quality and drive improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction.
14. Develop service procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure GDPR compliance.
15. Foster strong interdepartmental collaboration and customer relationships.
16. Provide regular KPI reports and strategic insights to senior management.
Leadership
17. Lead, mentor, and develop the Customer Service Team.
18. Promote a positive team culture and high performance.
19. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.
Candidate Profile
20. Experience:
5+ years in communications/marketing, ideally in construction or utilities.3+ years in a managerial role leading high-performing teams.
21. Education:
Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
