Windows Server Administrator

As a Windows Server Administrator, you will install, configure, maintain and deploy applications in support of the organization's business needs. You'll have the opportunity to maintain production (PRD) and non-production (non-PRD) Hyperspace/Hyperdrive environments, in addition to other client and end-user facing applications for the Epic Electronic Health Records platform.
Primary Responsibilities
* Successfully complete all required job training, including Epic EHR (Electronic Health Records) certifications, within first six months of employment and keep certifications up to date
* Install, configure, maintain and deploy the client and other delivery infrastructure components on Microsoft Windows based virtual servers
* Deploy and test Windows operating systems including virus updates, patches and performance tuning
* Maintain and support Epic production (PRD) and non-production (non-PRD) services like Hyperspace and Interconnect and the related services
* Help manage the Change Control processes for all client application environment build migrations and infrastructure upgrades
* Monitor system performance as part of daily operational requirements
* Assist in review system / application logs verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups
* Review incident tickets and notes and apply routine upgrades to client applications and back-end services
* Assist in integrating other applications using web services
* Implement system high availability strategies and mechanisms
* Develop disaster recovery procedures
* Troubleshoot and diagnoses application issues and implement solutions
* Ensure client's application and infrastructure changes are communicated to the necessary teams across the enterprise
* Define, create user accounts, profiles, roles and maintain required audit information
* Works closely with database, environment/infrastructure and internal/external enterprise security teams
* Provide on call support for production performance/availability or other critical issues
* Performs other duties as assigned
