We are seeking a Head of Risk (Ireland) to join a leading global investment manager. This senior position will oversee the Irish risk function, acting as PCF-14 for the MiFID firm and Designated Person for Risk for the AIFM. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening the risk management framework, engaging with regulators, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.
The role responsibilities will include:
* Leading and maintaining a robust second-line risk management framework across the Irish MiFID advisor and AIFM.
* Ensuring a strong control environment and effective oversight of all risk management matters.
* Overseeing operational resiliency, including business continuity and process remediation.
* Providing high-quality risk analysis and reporting to senior management, boards, and regulators.
* Managing and developing team members, both locally and in offshore support centers.
The Person should:
* Have 10+ years of risk management experience, ideally within asset management or financial services.
* Possess deep knowledge of local regulatory requirements, particularly MiFID, and strong product knowledge across financial instruments.
* Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to lead change, with proven success in transformation and process design initiatives.
* Bring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in engaging senior executives and regulators.
* Be highly organised with strong technical skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and an interest in leveraging technology to enhance processes.
