About the National Dairy CouncilThe National Dairy Council (NDC) is a farmer-funded representative body that advocates for dairy as part of an increasingly sustainably produced food system; as a key component in a healthy balanced diet; and as a sector, indispensable to Ireland's social and economic wellbeing.The NDC is currently structured across three pillars: Marketing, Communications & Farm Advocacy; Schools; and Nutrition.The National Dairy Council Trademark Guarantee, in operation since 2009, is an accreditation system which provides assurance around the provenance and traceability of milk, through a rigorous auditing and tracing process. Available only to milk that is both farmed and processed in the Republic of Ireland, it is a trusted symbol on which consumers can rely.In 2026, the Trademark Programme will be relaunched and expanded. The NDC is seeking an experienced project manager for afixed term contractto oversee the expansion project. It is envisaged that the contract will be for nine months on a part-time basis (25 hours per week), with the option to extend.Project Manager – Trademark Guarantee – Fixed Term ContractProfile:Resilient results-focused project manager and problem-solver with the ability to manage stakeholders, identify challenges and solutions and drive change at pace. Experience in co-ordinating, planning and delivering complex, multi stakeholder projects is an advantage. Experience working in the food sector, in retail or in a technical or quality assurance, though not essential, will be an advantage.ResponsibilitiesEngage stakeholders in plans for the expansion of the Trademark Guarantee.Identify challenges and potential solutions.Build a critical path for the phased delivery of the project.Work closely with the Auditing Team to understand technical challenges and to build a plan for workshops and pre-audits with partner organisations.Work closely with the Communications & Marketing Team to support the delivery of branded assets; internal and external stakeholder communications and external consumer launch.Qualifications & ExperienceCandidates must have:A minimum of five years' experience, working in a project management role.A strong problem-solving mindset with the initiative to drive projects forward.An accountability mindset with an orientation towards delivery of results.Ability to work at pace, with a bias for action.Experience of managing budgets and data and use of online portals.Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate with colleagues across multi-functional teams.Excellent stakeholder management skills.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.A positive can-do attitude.Experience that will be an advantage:Previous work in food manufacturing, retail, quality assurance or compliance.Previous experience liaising with multiple stakeholders.Working WeekThis role is part-time (25 hours per week).LocationThe role is office-based at the National Dairy Council's Sandyford offices.
