Company AccountantA position has become available with Rodney Brady Contracting Ltd in the construction sector, for a qualified/part qualified accountant. We are looking for a highly driven individual with strong commercial awareness, willing to challenge existing processes and constantly looking to improve them and add more value. This is a new role due to growth and expansion within the company. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller/Management, you will be responsible for the Accounts Function and work with other team members to meet Accounts deadlines and improve processes in place.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesOwnership & Responsibility for the Accounts FunctionPreparation of a monthly package including P&L, Balance Sheet, with supporting reports.Ownership for the preparation of ROS submissions (VAT, PAYE, RCT)Input of Invoices, Credit notes, Reconciling Supplier StatementMonitoring of debtors list and keeping updated of accounts.Run weekly Project costings.Payroll & PensionsPreparation of payments run and Bank paymentsLiaison with external accountants in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.General administration dutiesMaintenance of financial controls & accurate recordsSupport Management in reporting and statistical analysis in an accurate and timely fashionPartaking in other ad-hoc areas of the Business as and when required.Key behaviours/CompetenciesQualified/Part Qualified with 5 years' relevant experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)Will suit a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and working as part of a small team.Experienced in Accounts Payable, Payroll and BankingGood working level of VAT & RCT.Understanding of Construction Industry is an advantage but not essentialExperience using Quickbooks or similar accounts packageExcellent attention to detailExcellent IT and Communication skills, both written and verbalMust be able to work effectively both as part of a team and individually.Ability to work on their own initiative with a focus on process and system improvement.Salary and BenefitsExcellent Salary Study Support Package Apply: Send CV to Job Type: Full-timePay: €32,695.40-€62,702.60 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Ardkill More, Cavan, CO.
