Responsibilities
The CMTL QC lab. analyst will be responsible for the accurate and efficient analysis of supplier milk samples to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. They will maintain high laboratory standards through adherence to established procedures, meticulous documentation, and continuous quality improvement practices while building and sustaining strong professional relationships with suppliers by providing clear communication, timely feedback, and reliable analytical results. The QC lab analyst will support overall lab performance by upholding best practices in testing, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety.
How You Will Contribute
Daily conduct of analyses, operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment for the purpose of analysing supplier milk samples and milk intake samples which include various compositional tests, Somatic Cell Count, Total Bacterial Count, antibiotic testing, and various other tasks that may be assigned.
Participating in scheduled external proficiency schemes.
Ensuring security and correct temperature of samples, sanitizing, and monitoring housekeeping, and stock control within the laboratory and store areas.
Maintaining good laboratory practices in accordance with ISO17025 laboratory accreditation requirements, CLAS compliance & regulatory requirements.
Compiling results and issuing results daily internally. Investigating deviations or out of specification results, trend analysis, corrective actions, and setup / upkeep of visual management boards, reporting to management.
Daily calibration / QC checks of a wide range of equipment in the laboratory and responsibility for asset care and maintenance of same.
Performing non-routine activities and project / development work which may be assigned, as required (not limited to the laboratory).
Participation in assigned quality improvement projects, business excellence initiatives (Lean Manufacturing / Quality by Design), and Health and Safety requirements.
Performing internal & external water analysis & reporting of results.
