Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer role is responsible for providing technical support to maintenance, operations, and project departments on equipment maintenance and reliability matters. This position involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and anticipating potential problems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor day-to-day system performance and troubleshoot performance trends
• Perform maintenance and improvement work on equipment to ensure full operations schedule adherence
• Support the Preventative Maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong equipment life and optimize efficiency
• Support new product introductions and equipment installations
• Ensure safe accomplishment of activities according to statutory, environmental, regulatory, and corporate practices and procedures
• Contribute to equipment design, construction, commissioning, and qualification activities
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other departments as required
• Develop and manage critical equipment lists and analyze equipment data to report on performance
• Implement latest maintenance approaches and techniques, develop root cause failure analysis systems, and engineer out recurring equipment problems
• Support investigations and resolution of problems, facilitate continuous improvement, and lead investigations in the work area as necessary
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering
• Reliability and/or Maintenance experience within a process or pharmaceutical cGMP regulated environment
• Knowledge of best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RCM, and FMECA
• Experience with Delta V, PLC, SCADA, and SAP systems
