We are a land, property and project management consultancy based in Galway, Ireland. LP3 specialise in providing comprehensive solutions for large-scale renewable energy projects. We are currently seeking a talented GIS Technician to join our team.
Your role will be to support our growing team of professionals by helping to deliver exceptional GIS services and support to various departments within our organisation. You will have the opportunity to learn and work with GIS software, engage in challenging projects, and foster collaboration with colleagues.

Role Overview
Responsibilities:
* Provide GIS and mapping support to the team, focusing on wind and solar development projects.
* Create, collect, process, and analyse geospatial data from various sources to support project planning and decision-making.
* Create accurate, compliant, and legible map outputs and visualisations for use in project assessments.
* Conduct spatial analysis, including site suitability investigations and constraints mapping.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data into project planning and ensure accurate geospatial data management.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in GIS technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in GIS, geography, environmental science, or related discipline.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and manage and manipulate large volumes of data.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Keen interest in renewable energy development projects
* Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
Desired:
* Proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS, and experience with spatial analysis techniques, although full training can be given.
* Familiarity with renewable energy concepts and industry-specific geospatial data requirements.
* Knowledge of land use planning, environmental regulations, and permitting processes related to renewable energy projects.
