As part of continued international expansion, the company is seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join its high-performing global Legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a major PLC with a broad international footprint and exposure to complex, cross-border legal work.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, the Legal Counsel will provide expert legal and strategic advice across a broad range of commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will work closely with senior business stakeholders, global functional teams, and external counsel to manage risk, ensure compliance, and support the company’s commercial and strategic objectives.
This position offers significant responsibility and visibility within the organisation, as well as excellent scope for career progression within a global, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of commercial, corporate, and compliance issues across multiple jurisdictions.
* Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, partnership, and technology agreements.
* Support M&A activity, joint ventures, and strategic projects, including due diligence and transaction execution.
* Advise on corporate governance, listing, and disclosure obligations applicable to a PLC.
* Liaise with external counsel and coordinate local legal support where necessary.
* Monitor global legal and regulatory developments and assess potential business impacts.
* Support the implementation of global legal frameworks, templates, and compliance initiatives.
* Promote a strong culture of ethics, compliance, and corporate responsibility across the organisation.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified solicitor (Ireland or another common law jurisdiction) with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
* Background in corporate/commercial law, gained within a leading law firm and/or multinational in-house environment.
* Experience advising on cross-border transactions and international commercial arrangements.
* Exposure to public company governance and regulatory compliance preferred.
* Commercially astute with excellent drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced, and multicultural business environment.
* Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
* Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
