Senior National Account Manager – Ireland
My client is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven
Senior National Account Manager
to join their Irish sales team. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, this is a high-profile position within the business, managing key distributor and retail customer relationships across a significant share of our portfolio.
This role will play a central part in delivering their sales, share, and profit goals, while driving the continued growth of their market-leading brands. It offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional looking to progress their career within a global FMCG organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead customer relationships with their Irish ambient distributor and two direct retail partners.
* Prepare and deliver annual sales plans aligned with business objectives.
* Deliver financial and volume forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
* Develop and implement promotional strategies, evaluating ROI to ensure optimal investment.
* Drive thought leadership on category opportunities within key customers.
* Build and execute tailored account strategies and tactics to maximise sales and profitability.
* Ensure best-in-class execution in partnership with distributors, retail customers, and cross-functional colleagues.
About You:
* Degree-level education.
* Proven success as a
Business Account Manager
(minimum 3 trading cycles) within a branded FMCG environment, ideally selling to grocery multiples.
* Strong knowledge of the Irish grocery trade and category management processes.
* Excellent negotiation, selling, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Experience delivering results through cross-functional collaboration.
* Commercially astute, analytical, and confident with forecasting and promotional planning.
* Familiarity with shopper and consumer marketing is advantageous.
