Responsibilities (Text Only)
1. You will be responsible for building various aspects of our platform that enable high throughput, near-real-time delivery, manageability, and observability. You will have opportunities to experiment, propose improvements, build on the work of others, and contribute to your peers' success.
2. You will propose technical designs and have the autonomy and accountability to execute your proposals—including implementation, validation, deployment to production, and support during operation.
3. You will work towards becoming a subject matter expert and gaining a deeper understanding of the business problems our team solves. You will aim to create clarity for the team and mentor junior members.
4. You will participate in code reviews, provide and receive constructive feedback to improve code quality, engage in design discussions, seek feedback, and ensure designs are scalable and compatible with the system.
5. Your responsibilities also involve understanding distributed systems principles and patterns, leveraging programming language runtime internals for performance optimization, and drawing insights from experiments.
6. You will have opportunities to demonstrate a growth mindset by learning new technologies and product features, and to be part of an agile, performance-focused engineering team.
Qualifications (Text Only)
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
* Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field AND 4+ years of experience in technical engineering with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
* OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field AND 2+ years of experience in technical engineering with similar coding skills.
