Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support one or more Agile delivery teams in applying Scrum, Agile, and SAFe principles effectively. This role is key to fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across the team and the wider organisation.
Responsibilities
* Act as a servant leader and coach, ensuring teams embrace Agile values, principles, and best practices.
* Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, promoting productive discussions and outcomes.
* Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments, enabling the team to deliver value efficiently.
* Partner closely with the Product Owner to refine and maintain a clear, prioritised product backlog.
* Collaborate with the Release Train Engineer, Product Manager, and other stakeholders to plan, estimate, and deliver features aligned with the product roadmap.
* Support sprint planning and commitment sessions, helping the team balance ambition with achievable goals.
* Monitor and report on team velocity, delivery progress, and overall health.
* Guide the team in defining and evolving their Definition of Done, ensuring quality and consistency in delivery.
* Lead retrospectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives in both process and technical practices.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the team and management, maintaining clear communication and alignment.
* Foster a positive and motivated team environment where individuals are empowered to grow and perform at their best.
* If applicable, leverage your software development background to contribute to design, testing, or technical discussions within the team.
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile, and SAFe methodologies, with proven hands-on delivery experience.
* Demonstrated ability to coach teams and individuals to improve collaboration and performance.
* Passionate about continuous improvement and driving process excellence.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical environments.
* Self-driven and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to outcomes.
* Desirable: Previous experience in software development or testing, with the ability to engage on technical topics when required.
