Job Title: Strategic Energy Commercial Manager
Job Description
The primary role of the Commercial Bid Manager is to facilitate business growth by supporting the Sales team in negotiating and agreeing customer contracts that manage risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Sales team in negotiating and agreeing customer contracts to manage risk exposure
* Lead the procurement, negotiations, and award process for contractors, in conjunction with the Engineering & Delivery function
* Carry out cost analysis and contract negotiation in a variety of agreements (EPC, O&M, Leases, Licenses, Vendor Frameworks)
* Prepare documentation for customers and EPC contracts in association with Legal
* Review tender documentation to extract key project data and develop heads of terms, supported by the Sales team
* Drive efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget
* Liaise with Engineering & Finance teams to develop pricing and commercial models for identified opportunities
Requirements:
* Minimum 7 years industry experience
* Third-level qualification/Degree (Engineering or Business Management)
* Track record of successful contract negotiation
* Advanced negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Financial skill to appraise project returns and profitability
* Strong commercial acumen and business understanding
