About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. You’ll have extensive experience in Python and SQL to design, build, and operate reliable data extraction and processing. The role focuses on practical delivery of ingesting, transforming, and optimizing data to support analytics and reporting use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Data Integration & ETL Development
Strong hands‑on experience in Python (data processing, transformations, automation), SQL (complex queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Build and optimize data transformations using Python and SQL to ingest and integrate data from multiple structured and semi‑structured sources.
Strong experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
Solution Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to large‑scale architectural migrations and modernization initiatives within an Agile environment.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Document data models, workflows, and engineering processes for transparency and maintainability.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in building Python, SQL and ELT based solutions.
Strong programming proficiency in various relational databases, SQL, Python.
Solid understanding of ETL / ELT patterns, data warehousing, data governance, data quality and cloud migration strategies.
Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, and tools like Jira, Confluence.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience
Familiarity with Finance / Investment industry data domains.
Experience with SAFe Agile framework.
