Technical Business Analyst Location: Cherrywood, Dublin 18 Type: Contract About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Technical Business Analyst to join our team within the insurance sector. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that systems and processes are aligned with strategic goals. You will work closely with stakeholders across IT, operations, and business units to deliver data-driven insights, define requirements, and support the implementation of innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements. Translate business needs into detailed specifications for IT teams, including data mapping, process flows, and system integrations. Support the development and implementation of insurance systems (e.g., policy administration, claims management, underwriting platforms). Conduct gap analyses and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit requirements and validate solutions. Work with QA teams to define test cases and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of solutions. Maintain documentation including business cases, user stories, and technical specifications. Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in insurance and analytics. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technical or systems-focused role, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector. Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI) and business process modelling. Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA are a plus. Experience with enterprise insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens) is highly desirable.
