Job Title: Motor Trade Paint Preparation Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Preparation Technician to join our team in the Coach and Bus Painting industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles and components for painting, ensuring a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Surface Preparation:
* Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to prepare for paint application.
* Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections using fillers and sanding techniques.
* Equipment Handling:
* Operate and maintain sanding tools, and other preparation equipment.
* Clean and maintain tools and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Quality Control:
* Inspect surfaces before and after preparation to ensure high-quality standards.
* Address defects and inconsistencies promptly.
* Health & Safety Compliance:
* Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Ensure proper ventilation and handling of hazardous materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in vehicle preparation or a similar role in the automotive industry.
* Knowledge of sanding, and masking techniques.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a body shop or automotive repair centre.
Salary: Competitive, €26K-€31K based on experience.
Working Hours: Full-time, with potential for overtime.
