You will be responsible to:Enables the efficient manufacture of pharmaceutical products, including highly potent compounds, in compliance with applicable cGMP and HSE regulations and in accordance with business requirements.
Responsible for the definition, implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems, aiming at full adherence to pre-established production schedules while managing internal resources (people & equipment) and fulfilling customer requirements.
Prepare all manufacturing plans for the production lines under his (her) responsibility, managing resources allocation and assigning the members responsible (when applicable) for specific tasksEstablish the annual objectives for all his (her) direct reports and follow up accordinglySupport the assessment workflow during projects business evaluation / technical introduction to the areaDevelops areas of human expertise regarding manufacturing execution, in all its components (technical and soft skills)Survey the working conditions of the facilities under his (her) responsibility, making proposals for need of investment and coordinating the implementation of the necessary actions to ensure a robust and reliable operationEnforce fulfillment of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HSEE policy, by conducting inspections and liaising with other AreasCoordinate the implementation of new procedures or the change of existing ones, according to ruling COPs and SOPsCoordinate and assure on time preventive maintenance program execution and effective / efficient corrective maintenance, for facilities under his (her) responsibilityDevelop and propose for superior approval the activity plan and related budget for the Area under responsibility in line with the unit's strategy, in order to align activities with the area's strategic objectivesMonitor Area´s budget, by controlling budget evolution, identifying any deviations between the real and the foreseen and taking corrective measuresWe are looking to recruit a Candidate:Masters degree or degree in a field of Science or Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering or ChemistryTypically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical Fine Chemistry, Particle Engineering and/or Drug Product under a cGMP's environmentProven experience in leading others in project contextPossess extensive knowledge of Organic Chemistry, Particle Engineering technologies or Scale-up of Chemical Engineering operations; as well as of cGMP's and HSEE principles and practices and is able to effectively share them with othersFluency in English is a requirementMust have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set downHovione is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer Inclusion and diversity are key to us.
