Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: Dublin 2
Reports to: AP Finance Manager / AP Supervisor
Job Overview:
Accounts Payable Assistant (contract)
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensuring all invoices are processed on time.
* Organising supplier payment runs/manual payments.
* Adhering to week/quarter end deadlines for assigned entities.
* Ongoing review of AP aging and GRIR reports to identify and analyze aging problems and take corrective action as required.
* Participate in the quarter end close process for AP.
* Liaise with cross functional teams on query resolution and global alignment where applicable.
* Ensure queries are dealt with in a swift and efficient manner.
* Participate in improvement projects and initiatives in addition to performing day-to-day tasks.
* Ongoing review of system and processes to ensure departmental compliance.
* Cross training between colleagues to ensure relevant cover is always in place.
* Process other ad-hoc tasks as identified and required.
Job Qualifications:
* Essential
o 3 plus years AP experience
* Desirable
o Business / Accounting degree or IATI (or similar) qualification
Additional Skills/Preferences:
* Essential
o Excellent knowledge of AP procedures
o Knowledge of accounting principles
o Good organisational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Good problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative
o Positive attitude
o Ability to work under pressure
* Desirable
o Knowledge of SAP & Coupa systems would be advantageous
o E-invoicing experience
o French language
