About the RoleWe are a growing and dynamic accountancy practice seeking a qualified ACA accountant with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This role offers a varied workload with a strong focus on accounts preparation, audit assignments, and tax compliance/advisory work for a broad portfolio of clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Preparation & AuditPrepare and review year-end statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105.Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion, liaising directly with clients and audit team members.Review junior staff work and provide support and mentoring where required.Work closely with partners and managers to ensure high standards of service delivery.TaxationPrepare and review corporation tax and personal tax returns for a wide range of clients.Provide tax planning and advisory support in areas such as:Capital Gains TaxVATR&D claimsDirector/shareholder remuneration planningCapital AllowancesLiaise with Revenue on behalf of clients and manage responses to tax enquiries.Keep up to date with relevant tax legislation and share insights with clients and internal teams.Candidate RequirementsEssential:ACA qualified with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in practice.Proven experience in accounts preparation and audit assignments.Strong working knowledge of corporate and personal taxation.Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships.Competent in using accountancy and tax software such as Bright Accounts Production, Xero, and Sage.· Proficient in using Microsoft Excel with experience with formulas, data validation, PivotTables, and conditional formatting.· Ability to clean and organize large datasets for reporting and decision-making.Desirable:CTA qualification (fully or part-qualified).Experience with group consolidations, charity accounts, or international clients.What We OfferCompetitive salary.Supportive and collaborative team environment with a focus on career development.Ongoing CPD training and study support for additional qualifications (e.g., CTA).Exposure to a wide client base across varied sectors.How to ApplyPlease send your CV and a brief covering letter to outlining your experience and interest in the role.
