Job Overview
A seasoned leader is required to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and coordination of heavy building materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the purchasing and stock control of heavy building materials (HBM).
* Optimize inventory levels by monitoring usage and reordering materials as necessary.
* Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
* Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve stock discrepancies.
* Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure accurate payment processing and invoicing.
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email, addressing inquiries and complaints effectively.
* Process customer orders and ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate documentation.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the heavy building materials or construction industry.
* Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stock control methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills, enabling effective engagement with customers, sales representatives, and internal teams.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in building materials or construction supply industry, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
