The Role
As Senior Chemical Engineer, you will take ownership of a key area within the production process, ensuring consistent performance, reliability, and quality output.
You'll act as a technical lead for your section, supporting both production and maintenance teams, identifying process improvements, and driving operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on, technically focused role requiring initiative, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently within a structured and safety-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimise performance within an assigned area of the production process.
Monitor and analyse process data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimisation activities.
Contribute to projects involving process upgrades, commissioning, and new equipment.
Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Candidate Requirements
Degree-qualified in Chemical Engineering
(essential).
Minimum
4 years' experience
in a process or manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision.
Experience in heavy manufacturing, bio/pharma, alumina, or general process industries is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
