Windmill House is a 40-bed residential facility, with a 42-bed extension due for completion by the end of 2025, and features 10 independent living bungalows.This full-time, permanent position offers excellent career advancement for candidates with a solid management background within a dynamic and thriving care environment.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate governance and leadership in managing Windmill House Care Centre.Ensure high standards of care and service to residents and their families.Maintain compliance with HIQA regulations.Promote and oversee holistic, person-centred care delivery.Lead the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care.Communicate effectively with teams, residents, families, and visitors regarding daily operations.ManagementFulfill the role of Person-in-Charge according to the Health Act 2007 and HIQA standards.Ensure excellence in governance, management, and leadership.Manage the team supported by the ADON.Facilitate staff training and education.Implement and update policies in line with current guidelines.Coordinate with external agencies.Manage risks, health & safety, IPC, complaints, and incidents per company policy.Foster open communication, healthy working relationships, and team initiatives.Motivate staff through goal setting and performance reviews.The above responsibilities are not exhaustive.RequirementsQualified Registered Nurse with at least 3 years' recent experience in care of the older person.Post-registration management qualification (Level 8) in healthcare or a related field.Minimum of 3 years' management experience in health and social care.Engaged in ongoing professional development.Strong knowledge of clinical nursing practices for older persons.In-depth understanding of HIQA regulations and compliance.Knowledge of HR law, H&S, and legislation relevant to nursing homes.Flexibility and adaptability to company needs.Good financial awareness.What We OfferCompetitive basic salary.Excellent bonus scheme.Company laptop and phone.Pension contribution scheme.5 weeks annual leave.Expense account.Support for further education.On-site parking.Flexible working hours.Join the Windmill Healthcare team and lead a dedicated team to deliver the highest quality care.
